Are you a Production Planner who thrives in a fast-moving, growth-minded food manufacturing environment? Are you someone who can see both the strategic plan and the daily execution required to get it done? A confidential and rapidly expanding food manufacturer in the Long Island area is seeking a driven and detail-focused Production Planner to support production scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and communication between internal teams and external partners.
This is an excellent role for someone who enjoys autonomy, collaboration, and being the point of connection that ensures production happens efficiently, accurately, and on time.
What You Will Lead
Develop sales and inventory plans to support demand while maintaining optimal levels
Create, maintain, and track purchase orders for raw materials and finished goods
Coordinate production planning and materials within shelf-life requirements
Resolve scheduling conflicts, material delays, and last-minute needs
Provide reporting and analytics on inventory health and service levels
Utilize ERP systems to plan, schedule, and track production
Communicate forecasts and updates with vendors regularly
Partner cross-functionally with Production, Sales, QA / R&D, Operations, and Customer Service
What Makes You a Strong Match
5+ years in production planning, supply chain, or scheduling in food / beverage preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Advanced Excel and Outlook skills; QuickBooks a plus
Strong time management, math, and organizational skills
Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, process-driven environment
Must reside within approx. 30 minutes of the Long Island region (on-site role)
