Job description

Job Purpose

To provide LP product support leadership within an assigned region by performing on-site technical services, including warranty inspections, installation trainings, and product knowledge seminars. To deliver real time product performance data to internal LP customers (Quality, Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing) to ensure continuous product quality improvement and increased customer satisfaction.

In this position you will have the opportunity to :

  • Maintain strong alliances with regional GSMs, MDMs and CMs by supplying technical support services for LP products in themarketplace
  • Provide leadership within an assigned territory by facilitating the management of our product warranties, including the inspectionof warranty claims, the evaluation of product performance, the assessment of field applications, and the negotiation of warrantysettlements
  • Deliver excellent customer service by providing expert technical advice on the proper application and installation of LP productsto our Distributors, Retailers, Builders, and Homeowners
  • Partner with the LP Sales Team as a product and building science resource to increase their knowledge and understanding of LPproducts and their proper field applications.
  • Facilitate claims resolution in a manner exhibiting excellent customer service for the customer within the applicable warrantyguidelines
  • Work with LP Quality and Corporate Marketing as a technical field resource to incorporate the “Voice of Customer” (VOC) intoour product attributes and literature
  • Provide product technical knowledge and field support services to Corporate Legal in the resolution of litigious claims
  • Maintain and dispense technical knowledge on manufacturing methods, quality procedures, industry and company installationrequirements, and all other information needed to effectively answer technical inquires
  • Provide real time field product performance information to Quality, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing
  • Home office with frequent overnight travel required to meet with distributors, retailers, builders, contractors, and other customers

What do I need to be successful?

  • 5 +years of experience in the housing, building science, or building products industry
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform responsibilities of this position
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Louisiana-Pacific products
  • Demonstrated competence in building science.
  • Ability to operate effectively within a multi-discipline team
  • Excellent understanding of single family and light commercial building practices.
  • Knowledge of effective training methods and techniques
  • Knowledge of plant operations
  • Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a building science, basic sciences, architecture or related fields, or a combination of education and experiencethat demonstrates capability
