As an RN, you will practice within the ethical and legal guidelines established by the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association. You will lead by example and work closely with patients, families, and the healthcare team to deliver quality outcomes and promote access to care.

Responsibilities

• Standards of Practice : Following the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, the RN will be responsible for the components of the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Assessment : Collect and analyze pertinent data about the patient’s health.
• Diagnosis : Identify actual and potential health issues based on assessment data.
• Outcomes Identification : Determine expected outcomes tailored to individual patient needs.
• Planning : Develop and adjust care plans to achieve desired outcomes.
• Implementation : Execute the care plan effectively.
• Coordination of Care : Ensure seamless delivery and transitions in care.
• Health Teaching and Promotion : Empower patients through education and promote safe environments.
• Evaluation : Assess progress towards achieving health outcomes.

Standards of Professional Performance : The RN is expected to demonstrate competent behavior in various aspects of professional practice, including ethics, cultural awareness, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, and quality maintenance.
