Electrical Detailer - Union

Description

The Waldinger Corporation has an opportunity for a qualified Detailer - Union in either our Saint Joseph, MO or Des Moines, IA Office.

Job Summary :

Responsible for the layout of devices, piping, and equipment so that field installation and shop production may be completed in the safest and most cost-effective manner possible.

Responsibilities :

• Modeling : Creates a constructible model in accordance with the design intent, specifications, local codes, and standard industry procedures. Includes information that allows the model to be used for field installation. Works to identify field issues during the modeling process and eliminate these problems.
• Project Drawings : Creates point files and dimensioned drawings for cost-effective field installation. Prepares adequate and accurate fabrication drawings for shop production. Maintains reasonable knowledge of shop equipment and means and methods of fabrication.
• Accuracy and Cost-Effectiveness : Gives consideration to the most cost-effective construction methods. Utilizes the most efficient software to meet contract and fabrication requirements of the project. Adds appropriate and agreed upon level of detail to the model and drawings.
• Job Management : Maintains an accurate schedule of required activities for assigned workload. Coordinates with Jobsite Foreman to set accurate ship dates and communicate dates to shop. Works with team members to assign priority to tasks. Records time based on activities to allow for accurate labor feedback tracking.
• Detailing Reports : Prepares accurate material lists for field and shop fabrication. Gives feedback to project management staff when deviations from engineers drawings occur.
