In this position...

The Corporate Strategy team at Ford works on the most impactful strategic issues for the global Ford enterprise focusing and prioritizing complex challenges facing the company and defining the strategic choices that positively change the direction of the company in advancing its Ford objectives. Our strategy managers are key workstream leads on our projects and are critical to the success of the deliverables

Responsibilities

What youll do...

• As a strategy manager on our team you will
• Hypotheses generation : Rigorously and logically identify issues covering entire problem in the assigned work stream(s) working with strategy leadership and / or stakeholders
• Structuring and solving the problem : Determine most efficient and effective approach to solving complex problems taking advantage of the strategy organizations existing knowledge beyond immediate connections
• Conducting analyses : Ensures high quality and accurate analysis; Selects the most effective analytical approaches and guides team in applying leading edge techniques; Ensures team develops robust fact base creatively addressing data constraints
• Synthesis and generating recommendations : Develop compelling insights from complex analysis. Synthesize complex analysis with an ability to draw out and prioritize key conclusions and Independently develop sound recommendations
• Effective communication and persuasion : Demonstrate strong influencing skills by effectively communicating findings conclusions and recommendations both verbally and written
• Apprenticeship and leadership : Be a player-coach that can effectively break down the problem into discrete workstreams and balance doing vs. delegation to ensure timely completion of high-quality deliverables; Model the Ford behaviors and values; practice situational leadership coaching team members on the strategy toolkit and building domain expertise
