End Date : November 28, 2024

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week

Shift Options : Variable – 3x12 hour shifts or 4x10 hour shifts preferred

On Call : 1 weekend day (24 hr) in a 6-week rotation, plus weekday call

Flexible Scheduling : Yes

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1930-$2070

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse, New York nursing jobs)

Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience

Preoperative nursing experience preferred

Experience with Meditech preferred (not required)

Peripheral nerve block experience preferred

Pediatric nursing experience (age 6 months and older) preferred

BLS certification required

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver patient care in both Phase I and Phase II recovery within the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU)

Manage a 1 : 2 nurse-to-patient ratio, including simultaneous care of two Phase I patients

Care for pediatric and adult patients undergoing diverse procedures (ENT, orthopedic, general surgery, neurosurgery, plastics, urology, gynecology, and more)

Assist in recovery of ICU and endoscopy (MAC) patients

Support local procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, and minor orthopedic interventions

Provide nursing care for both inpatient and outpatient procedures, including elective, urgent, and emergent cases

Document patient care using Meditech and paper charting as needed

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Participate in scheduled on-call rotations
