Nights, with 8 and 12 hour shifts, rotating every third weekend and holiday.
Your Role :
As a member of our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit, you will care for a diverse and complex patient population, including :
Post-operative care for craniotomies, AVMs, and tumor resections.Surgeries involving the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine.Patients recovering from hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes, part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program.What You'll Do :
Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based patient care.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and compassionate care.Apply clinical judgment and critical thinking for optimal patient outcomes.Support positive patient experiences throughout the continuum of care.Your Responsibilities :
Assess patient needs and implement individualized care plans.Recognize significant changes in patient conditions and act accordingly.Promote patient safety and risk management strategies.Lead discharge planning and collaborate on care strategies.Participate in quality improvement initiatives.Foster effective communication and teamwork within the healthcare team.Qualifications :
Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.Completion of an accredited nursing program.Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Skills and Abilities Required :
Ability to provide holistic patient care with a family-focused approach.Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Organizational and time management abilities.Physical Requirements :
