Summary :
The Network Administrator’s role is to ensure the stable operation of IT infrastructure to ensure 24x7 uptime. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. The person will also analyze and resolve hardware and software problems providing end user training where required.
Primary Job Duties :
- Perform network design and capacity planning
- Installs and maintains network file servers and network operating systems; ensures that backup copies of all files are routinely made and securely stored at separate location; maintains system documentation
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts
- Provides second level technical support to users concerning network system operations
- Diagnoses problems with network equipment and performs equipment repair or upgrades when appropriate
- Installs, configures, and maintains multi-user software to be accessed from file servers
- Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights
- Installs, configures, and maintains network cabling and other networking equipment such as hubs, switches, and UPS
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network connected end-user hardware, software, and peripheral devices
- Manage security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems
- Orders software, hardware, and other supplies as required for the business
- Works with other IT staff on planning, installing, and documenting programs and training
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
4+ years of networking experience or a combination of education and experience Specific Infrastructure & Virtualization experience including VMware, AD administration Experience with Cloud & SaaS programs including MS 365 and Citrix Bachelor’s Degree in related field and current training / certification preferred Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks each day. Strong documentation skills and ability to identify and produce clear, comprehensive written instructions and technical documentation that other people can understand. Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanor, providing outstanding customer satisfaction.Job Details :
Location : 50 Commerce Drive Morton, IL 61550 with less than 20% travel including local and regional
Schedule : 8 AM – 4 : 30 PM M-F with rotating on call
Pay Rate : $75,000 - $95,000 Depending on Experience
