Healthcare Setting : Main Hospital, 6th Floor – Med / Surg, Telemetry, Trauma

Unit Size : 33 beds

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 8 / 2025 – End : 3 / 9 / 2026)

Nursing Shift : 12 Hour Days (07 : 00-19 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,780 - $1,910 per week

Employment Type : Travel Nursing (W2)

On-Site Position

Scrub Color : Navy (Dress code enforced)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent hospital experience as a Registered Nurse

Active RN license (Virginia or Compact State)

BLS & ACLS certifications required

Ability to pass a Basic Rhythm test

Medical Surgical nursing experience preferred

Strong patient care focus and communication skills

High energy and positive attitude

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a 33-bed Med / Surg, Telemetry, and Trauma unit

Monitor patient status and vital signs using EKG and Carescape monitors

Assist with procedures including small I&Ds, peritoneal dialysis, and thoracentesis

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team : RNs, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Unit Secretary, and Charge Nurse

Document patient care in Meditech EMR system

Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and staff

Comply with hospital policies, dress code, and patient safety standards
