Unit Overview : Join our dynamic 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit, providing care for a diverse and complex patient population, including :
Post-operative care for craniotomies, AVMs, and tumor resections.Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Patients undergoing treatment for hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes within our Comprehensive Stroke Program.A high volume of spinal surgery patients and medical overflow cases.As part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII), you will gain exposure to advanced neurosurgical techniques and state-of-the-art care.

Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association.Education Required :
Completion of an accredited Nursing program.Experience Required :

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, bend, and reach frequently throughout shifts.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist and 20 lbs. over the head.Must perform sliding transfers with up to 150 lbs. with assistance.Exposure to potentially hazardous materials may require protective equipment.Functional skills in speech, vision, hearing, and the dexterity for clinical procedures.This job description outlines the main responsibilities of the role but is not exhaustive.
