Job descriptionCompetitive salary Sign-on bonus and relocation Comprehensive benefits package CME allowance 250-bed licensed hospital Comprehensive stroke Center and advanced cardiovascular center 24 / 7 for acute stroke and other neurologic emergencies Advanced surgical services including endovascular care and orthopedic / spine procedures Alaska Regional Hospital has over 1000 employees and a medical staff of over 550 independent practitioners. 250 bed regional facility offering a broad scope of services The hospital is the designated Shriners clinic facility in Alaska, and free immunization clinics are held monthly for area school children. Other services include free prostate cancer screenings, health education seminars, community health fairs, and support groups for cancer and stroke survivors. Alaska Regional is the only non-military hospital in the state with its own landing strip, allowing the hospital’s LifeFlight Air Ambulance to transport critical care patients from the plane directly to the 24-hour Emergency Department. Alaska Regional even offers free valet parking to patients and visitors. Alaska Regional Hospital ranked among the nation’s best hospitals for patient safety, according to Healthgrades’ 2024 Patient Safety Excellence Award. ARH has been recognized for three consecutive years for being in the top 10% nationally for patient safety.
Cardiothoracic Surgeon Physician
HCA Healthcare Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage is seeking a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon to join us in the beautiful state of Alaska
Qualified Candidates
- Board certified or board eligible in cardiothoracic surgery
- Experience in routine heart surgery procedures, thoracic procedures, valve (including TAVR and mitral)
- Proficient in general adult cardiac and thoracic surgery; able to take call for both
- Knowledge and experience with advanced technologies to reduce the invasiveness of thoracic and cardiovascular procedures
- Minimum of three years’ experience
- Alaska licensure and DEA
