Job descriptionEstablished in the community for 38 years, we carry an excellent name in the community having the best customer Google Reviews in the State of Utah and averaging over 1,000 new clients annually! Our clients say "we are different because we do provide a quality, no pressure service with friendly staff, and low wait times." Recently remodeled hospital interior with 3 exam rooms, 1 surgery suite, separate x-ray room, kennels, private Dr's Office, and downstairs break room with reclining exercise bike! We also have separate double door cat and dog entrances to minimize the stress on our patients! Our passionate team is made up of 2 Doctors, each Doctor having 28+ years of unique experience . We work in a highly collaborative and open environment with an average staffing ratio of 3.5 : 1 support staff to doctors with bilingual (Spanish) support! Several members on our team our tenured with over 11 years of dedicated service. Well established in mentorship and teaching for recent new grads or experienced veterinarians. We encourage learning new skills, provide CE training and more. Specialist relationships : 3 large emergency specialty referral clinics, referral advanced imaging specialist, in-house referral orthopedics & ultrasound. SLC has the only Brachytherapy cancer treatment facility for animals in the entire region! Latest & Greatest Technology : Full array of Heska lab equipment, E2V Sonoscape, New Microscope with Bluetooth mounted camera, Heska HD DR x-ray with new table, Orthopedic equipment, including bone plate pack available. Our hospital culture and team are hands down AMAZING ! We would describe ourselves as a hardworking, close-knit team in a relaxed yet professional environment with a lot of laughter! Work / Life balance and self-care is actively encouraged having 3-day weekends (Friday - Sundays off), 2-hour lunch breaks, no late nights or emergencies and rotating surgery days! We are a low / no drama, warm and welcoming to new team members, patients, and family. We are passionate and diligent in patient and client care. We practice respectful and mindful communication at all levels. We celebrate holidays and staff personal milestones, such as birthdays and employment anniversary. Did you know Utah consistently has one of the top 2 economies in the nation? All the more reason to relocate! We are just 15 minutes from Salt Lake City and 20 minutes from the international airport! We are located on the corner of one of busiest intersections in Salt Lake County and right off the exit of Bangerter Highway. Right next to Carl's Junior and Mister Car Wash, Dutch Brothers, with McDonald's, Little Cesar's, Jimmy John's, Dominos and Wendy's within 5 minutes walking distance. Utah is home to 5 National Parks 3 to 4 hours from Hospital. Some of the best snow skiing on earth with 6 major ski resorts 30 to 60 minutes' drive, depending on where you live in the valley. Uinta mountains, 60 minutes from hospital. There are well over 1,000 natural lakes in the Uinta's and more than 500 of them support populations of game fish. There are also over 400 miles of streams, 59 Camping trails, and many, many more miles of other hiking trails. Great schools and children's activities Our location is enhanced with a rich cultural life full of professional sports (NBA, MLS, Minor league hockey, and 3A minor league baseball) performing arts, music, entertainment, festivals / fairs, unique local shops, live theater, amusement parks, and dining.
