Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Environmental Program Manager II, the incumbent independently performs the more complex and difficult analytical assignments regarding recruitment, travel, training, and administrative policy. Provides analytical expertise to management and outside agencies, and acts as lead for administrative support staff. As Branch coordinator and liaison for all administrative tasks, serves as the primary point of contact for branch staff.

Working Conditions

  • The incumbent will work in a single floor building, under artificial lighting
  • Sit for moderate periods of time
  • Use a computer up to eight hours a day
  • Occasional overnight travel by automobile or air may be required to different areas of the State

NOTE :  This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California, subject to the candidate meeting telework eligibility criteria set forth in the CalEPA telework policy and / or future program need. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework. Regardless of telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the position’s designated headquarters location, as indicated on their duty statement, at their own expense.
