Job Title : Interventional Radiologist
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Interventional Radiologist to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in minimally invasive, image-guided procedures using advanced imaging techniques such as CT, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound. This role involves providing comprehensive interventional radiology services across various specialties, including vascular, neurointerventional, oncology, and musculoskeletal interventions. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical environment that emphasizes patient-centered care, clinical research, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures, including catheterization, vascular interventions, neurocritical care interventions, and radiation therapy.
- Conduct minimally invasive procedures such as embolizations, biopsies, drainages, gastric lavage, and wound care under image guidance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Utilize advanced imaging modalities including CT, nuclear medicine, and diagnostic radiology for accurate patient evaluation.
- Manage pre- and post-procedure patient assessments to ensure optimal outcomes and safety.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards and CPT coding requirements.
- Participate in clinical research trials to advance interventional radiology practices and improve patient care standards.
- Educate patients on procedures, risks, benefits, and post-procedure care plans while ensuring compassionate service.
Qualifications
Proficiency with medical imaging techniques such as CT, nuclear medicine, diagnostic radiology, and interventional radiography.Experience with EHR systems including Epic and EMR platforms for documentation and patient management.Strong knowledge of medical terminology across multiple specialties (internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, oncology, orthopedics, Ob / Gyn, pediatrics, nephrology, pulmonology, rheumatology, infectious disease, trauma medicine, hospice & palliative care, sleep medicine, immunology, pathology, behavioral health, addiction medicine).Familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes.Ability to perform catheterization procedures safely within a sterile environment adhering to aseptic technique.Excellent patient assessment skills and compassionate communication.Preferred : Critical care experience including neurocritical care and pediatric intensive care.Knowledge of airway management techniques and ventilator support is advantageous.Equal Opportunity Employer
