The Director, Governance & Portfolio Operations, is responsible for ensuring the integrity, security, and compliance of our human resources systems and processes. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in employee information audits, human resources security governance, system enhancements, and project / change management. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding sensitive employee data and driving operational excellence across our human resources technology landscape.

This position will report to the Senior Director, HR Technology (Global Process Owner) and is part of the Corporate HR Technology Operations organization. While we may consider a remote work arrangement for this role, our preference is onsite at our global headquarters in Washington, DC.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to :

  • Audit & Compliance : Lead comprehensive audits of employee information, including data accuracy, records management, and retention policies. Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to HR data and system security.
  • Security Governance : Oversee HR security governance frameworks, including access controls, data protection protocols, and risk mitigation strategies. Partner with Legal, Compliance, and IT to address security incidents and ensure resolution.
  • System Enhancements & Governance : Manage HR system enhancement requests and governance processes in collaboration with IT and HR stakeholders. Ensure seamless integration and optimal functionality of platforms such as Workday and OneModel.
  • Investigations & Analysis : Provide leadership and guidance in HR investigations related to data security and employee information compliance. Provide detailed analysis and reporting to inform resolution and policy updates.
  • Reporting & Insights : Develop KPI's and Operational metrics. Develop and generate custom Workday reports to support HR operations, analytics, and decision-making.
  • Project & Change Management : Lead and / or contribute to HR systems implementation projects, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment. Apply structured projects and change management methodologies to drive adoption and success.
  • M&A : Conduct impact analysis. Lead due diligence support for global business operations. Support stakeholder communication. Support integration plan and testing. Post integration assimilation.

The essential requirements of the job include :

  • Bachelors in human resources, HRIS, or related field and in-depth knowledge and experience in human resources governance, security, systems with specific high-level proficiency in Workday, OneModel, and / or other HR systems.
  • Proven ability to conduct detailed audits and manage sensitive information.
  • Strong project management and change management skills, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing guidance to colleagues with less experience.
  • Ability to travel 20% more or less per business needs.

    The annual salary range for this role is $135,000 - $185,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus / incentive pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical / dental / vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
