The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects thousands of students with online math tutors. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you'll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students' learning journeys—from home.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1-on-1 online math tutoring to students, adapting instruction to individual learning styles.
  • Set your own hours and tutor as much as you'd like.
  • Use the Live Learning Platform to conduct sessions remotely, with no commuting required.
  • Leverage platform tools and AI-powered features to enhance instruction and save prep time.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base contract rates start at $18 / hour and can increase for specialized subjects; potential to earn up to $40 / hour with same-student continuity.
  • Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice.
  • We handle the logistics—you invoice for sessions and we manage payments.

  • Strong communication skills and an engaging teaching style.
  • Expertise in Math and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
  • Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
  • Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.

  • Instant Tutoring – accept on-demand tutoring requests when you're available.
