Job description

What you’ll be doing

  • Serves as a senior communications subject matter expert and works with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, goals and objectives for initiatives, and recommends, develops and implements communication plans and activities to most effectively reach target internal and external audiences.
  • Develops communications content, including, but not limited to, leadership messages, intranet articles, video content, press releases, social media posts, messaging documents and more for company-wide programs and initiatives.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and consultative communications guidance to senior leaders and internal / external stakeholders on various complex assignments and projects.

Develops and executes communications strategies and tactics to effectively support change management efforts and employee adoption of new and evolving programs.

Ensures that communication plans and activities are aligned across key internal and external stakeholder groups through ongoing collaboration with colleagues across the communications team and project leads.

  • Ensures communication activities align with overall corporate objectives and the corporate Brand.
  • Seeks to continuously improve processes and practices, brings innovation and creativity to day-to-day work. Partners with several teams internally (Creative Services, Graphic Design, Brand, Video Production, etc.) to execute communications deliverables.

  • Develops programs to measure effectiveness of communications efforts and reports out to stakeholders and communications leadership regularly.
  • What we’re looking for

    Education / experience :

  • 5+Years of corporate communications, internal and / or external communications experience (Required)
  • 4 Year / Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
  • Other skills and abilities :

  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Motivated self-starter, resourceful.
  • Creative thinker, suggests new ideas and ways of doing things.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates strong writing ability, including (1) strong understanding of and adherence to usage and grammar skills, (2) ability to translate complex topics into understandable and actionable communications and, (3) ability to develop content for use across channels, including video, online, environmental and other media.
  • Strong project management leadership skills, including critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment / under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and work requirements simultaneously and prioritizing as required.
  • Demonstrates ability to identify and recommend process improvements, new tools, etc.
  • Demonstrates strong relationship management skills with internal clients (, managers, peers, and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
  • Demonstrates ability to identify causes and solutions for conflict. Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes.

    The pay range for this position is $93,300 - $169,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
