PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Demographics : Adults (95%), Pediatrics (5%)

Patient Volume / Census : Average 10 cases per week

Admissions : No

Rounding : Required on weekends for inpatients as needed

Phone Consults : Yes

Case Mix : General Urology; Testicular torsion for pediatric cases

EMR System : Epic

Office Equipment Available : Standard urology equipment

Specialty Backup Available : APP / Mid-levels available weekdays 8a 4 : 30p

Support Staff Available : PAs and NPs for initial consults and case prep

General Urologic Procedures (emergent as needed)

Testicular Torsion (pediatric cases)

Emergency surgical interventions not handled by APPs

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses : Active Pennsylvania medical license

Board : Board Certified in Urology

DEA : Active DEA Certification

Certifications : BLS, ACLS

Experience : Minimum 5 years in specialty

Other Qualifications : Ability to work 7-day call blocks (Monday to Monday)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide 24-hour call coverage for urology emergencies across 3 hospitals (within 10-mile radius)

Respond to consults, emergent surgeries, and APP escalations

Perform weekend rounding for inpatients as needed

Collaborate with APPs and hospital staff to manage urology cases

Ensure accurate documentation in Epic EMR
