Job Description

Our client, a 50+ bed healthcare facility located near Westover in North Central VA, has a need for a MRI Tech to join their team. This is a Day shift position working Monday-Friday 8 : 30a-5pm.

The MRI technologist will work with the radiologist and fellow staff members to prepare patients and operate magnetic resonance equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans. The MRI technologist works under general supervision in performing a variety of exams and procedures according to departmental protocol, as requested by physician order. The technologist will position the patient's body part for imaging and set appropriate technical factors on the imaging equipment with a high degree of competency to ensure production of quality images for interpretation by the radiologist.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education : High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited school for Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

Experience : 2 years of healthcare experience preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.

Licensure : ARRT or ARMRIT Registered in MRI, or eligible. Registry must be completed within 12 months of hire.
