Job description

BHE GT&S has an exciting opportunity as an Account Executive at our Greystone location in Columbia, SC.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for generating revenue through sales of existing and new natural gas transportation services.
  • Develops, promotes, and directs marketing programs and service activities among existing and potential customers.
  • Maintains customer relationships through regular communication and in person engagement.
  • Trains and assists customers using the CGT EBB.
  • Develops and maintains awareness of competitor activities and customer needs.
  • Collects regulatory and market data, analyzes trends, and identifies impact within market area.
  • Designs service proposals and negotiates service agreements.
  • Administers capacity award and contracting processes, including evaluation of bids pursuant to applicable regulations and tariff provisions as well as preparation of new contracts on the EBB.
  • Approves or denies customer requests for discounted rates.
  • Maintains a database of contract extensions and expirations.
  • Recruits new customers for unsold, turned back, or posted capacity.
  • May identify new capital investment projects and other profitable business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of nine years' related experience, including at least seven years in natural gas marketing, supply or pipeline operations.
  • Knowledge of marketing, economic, and finance principles.
  • Knowledge of regulations governing transmission sales and service.
  • Knowledge of GTS transmission and storage services and tariffs.
  • Knowledge of pipeline competitors and their service offerings.
  • Familiarity with relevant facilities and competitors within market area.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to speak persuasively, negotiate, and develop rapport.
  • Ability to define and analyze problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to write speeches, draft agreements, and prepare letters and reports.
  • Ability to plan and organize work schedule independently.
  • Contribute to a team-centric work environment based on mutual respect and integrity.
  • Support the Company's CHAMPION culture, which centers around personal responsibility, continuous improvement and delivering quality for our customers.
  • Education

    Bachelor (Typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)

    Business, Economics, Engineering, Marketing or Finance
