LHH Recruitment Solutions partnered up with an excellent organization in the Jericho, Long Island area to assist them hire a Payroll Coordinator.
This is a Long Term Temporary Role. (about 4 months)
Work Schedule
- Hours : 9 : 00 AM 5 : 30 PM or 8 : 30 AM 5 : 00 PM
- Hybrid Schedule- IN Office Monday through Wednesday. Remote Thursday and Friday.
- Heavy Processing Days : Thursday, Friday, and the following Monday and Tuesday
Team & Scope
3-person payroll teamSupports approx. 700 salaried employeesBi-weekly payroll runsKey Responsibilities
Process bi-weekly payroll with precision and timelinessHandle payroll-related reports including new hire reports, W-2s, and auditsReview and reconcile year-end closeManage employee leaves from a payroll perspectiveEnsure compliance with national and state-specific payroll laws, including OT regulationsCoordinate with ADP for direct deposits, wage verifications, garnishments, and unemployment claimsRespond to last-minute issues and urgent payroll mattersSupport year-end bonuses and stock issuance in FebruaryQualifications
Experience with Workday payroll system (required)Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsExperience with payroll processing for large employee basesFamiliarity with multi-state payroll lawsCPP certification is a plusAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal downtime$32-38 per hour (depending on experience).
