Top rated specialty medical group in Garden Grove, CA has an immediate opening for an experienced Medical Back Office Medical Assistant. Position is working all back office in a Gastroenterology Medical Group.

Summary :

Title : Medical Assistant / Back Office

Pay : $21.00 - $22.00 per hour DOE

Location : Mission Valley area - San Diego, CA

Schedule : M-F, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM

Speciality : Gastroenterology

Job Type : Full-time

EMR : ECW (E-clinical works)

Dress attire : Scrubs

  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus

Duties :

  • Rooming patients for multiple providers
  • Document chief complaint / medical history / update medication list
  • Request / Gather all necessary data for each patient medical record
  • Maintain a clean / organized work area including front office / triage area / examination / treatment rooms Prepare treatment rooms before each examination
  • Stock office / medical supplies and request supply orders timely based on inventory needs
  • Vital Signs, injections, gather specimens and send to lab for processing timely
  • Assist with authorizations and procedures
  • Follow-up appointments, enter results into EMR system
  • Assist with assembling paperwork twice a week

    • Position Requirements

  • Medical Assistant Certificate
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must be organized, detailed, and professional
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • EMR skills required
  • Bilingual, Spanish is a must!
  • Helpful if can bring Gastroenterology specialty experience

    TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

    Position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Some patient assistance will be required. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone and other office equipment is also required. Employee must have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.
