Job descriptionWork 12-hour day shifts with 36 hours guaranteed per week Patient ratio of 1 : 4-6 Weekend coverage required based on operational needs with every other weekend (EOW) coverage Minimum 2 years IMC experience required Charge nurse experience required First-time travelers accepted 24 hours of orientation provided Required certifications : ACLS, BLS Must have compact license or MD license Two supervisor references required Experience required with chest tubes, PCA infusions, bedside monitoring, non-titratable drips, IV infusions Must be comfortable managing patients with CHG, Diabetes, COPD / Asthma, sepsis, pneumothorax, ESRD / dialysis, hypertension / hypotension, ETOH withdrawal, general surgery Skills include central line care / management, chest tubes-Emerson / PleurEvac, CVA care, external CPAP / BIPAP, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, IV insulin protocols, cardiac drip management (no titration), telemetry monitoring Scrubs not provided - must wear Caribbean blue color Flu vaccine required with no exemptions Adult patient population with daily census of 15 patients 15-bed unit with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams Referral bonus

This healthcare facility operates a 15-bed intermediate care unit that provides comprehensive medical services for adult patients requiring step-down level care. The facility maintains high standards of patient care with full interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The unit is equipped with bedside monitoring capabilities for up to 8 patients, ultrasound IV equipment, cardiac monitoring, and lift equipment to ensure quality patient care and safety.
