Job description

ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Leonardtown, Maryland.

Opportunity : RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details :

  • Work 3x12 night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM
  • Adults only unit - telemetry focused
  • 2 years of experience required
  • First time travelers accepted
  • Patient ratio of 5 : 1 for all shifts
  • Weekend coverage required - every other weekend (6 weekend shifts per 6-week contract)
  • Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
  • Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
  • 24 hours of orientation provided
  • BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
  • Must have compact license or MD license
  • Two supervisor references required
  • Skills required : Telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • Additional skills include : blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, PCA pumps, wound care, tracheostomy care, and various IV management procedures
  • Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
  • Care for patients with diagnoses including diabetes, CHF, infection, sepsis, COPD, post-surgical cases, and general medicine patients
  • Unit specializes in orthopedic procedures, colorectal surgeries, vascular procedures, and bariatric surgery

    • Facility :

    This healthcare facility features a 44-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with 34 rooms serving a daily census of approximately 32 patients. The facility operates a comprehensive orthopedic program including total joint replacements, along with colorectal, vascular, and bariatric surgery services. The unit is equipped with modern telemetry monitoring systems, patient lifts, PCA pumps, chest tubes, and capnography equipment to provide high-quality patient care.
