Quality Engineer

Location : Broward County, FL

Full-Time | Onsite

About the Role :

We are seeking a Quality Engineer who is passionate about building and maintaining systems that deliver excellence. In this role, you will lead quality initiatives across manufacturing and business processes to ensure products meet internal standards and customer expectations. You’ll play a key role in enhancing our Quality Management System (QMS), supporting new product introductions, and driving continuous improvement across the organization.

This position will collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production teams to embed quality at every stage of the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Warranty Management : Oversee return material authorization (RMA) processes. Investigate customer returns, implement corrective actions, and drive improvements to reduce warranty issues.
  • Quality Management System (QMS) : Lead initiatives to develop and improve QMS documentation and processes. Assist in training plant personnel and aligning teams with quality objectives.
  • ERP Integration : Act as the Quality representative in ERP implementation projects. Align QMS processes with ERP functionality to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) : Lead quality efforts during new product launches including FMEA, process capability, tolerance analysis, and test / inspection protocols.
  • Production Testing & Auditing : Implement and manage quality control techniques such as FPY tracking, SPC, and audits (product, process, system).
  • Material Review Board (MRB) : Facilitate reviews and disposition of nonconforming material. Lead corrective actions, analyze trends, and maintain supplier engagement.
  • Supplier Quality : Oversee receiving inspection processes, supplier quality documentation (FAI, PPAP), and manage SCARs.
  • Customer Quality Support : Serve as a customer-facing liaison for quality concerns. Interpret product quality requirements, provide documentation, and ensure compliance.

What You’ll Need :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or equivalent technical field).
  • 5+ years of engineering experience, with 3+ years in a Quality Engineering capacity.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge of electrical components.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 standards and new product introduction practices.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and their application in quality functions.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and / or Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Prior experience conducting internal and / or supplier audits is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
