1 year of travel experience preferred, not required for Per Diem positions.

Client Registered Nurse license required.
Certifications :
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Must-Have :
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Description :
The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe and competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and their significant others.
Delivers patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care.
Assesses and evaluates patient care needs and applies critical thinking skills in patient care management.
Integrates relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care.
Collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.
Prioritizes all aspects of patient care including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning after hospital care, delegating to others as appropriate.
Educates patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, health promotion, and disease prevention while anticipating needs and readiness to learn.
Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, families, and all members of the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team.
Manages assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing and demonstrates effective allocation of material resources.
Role models Relationship Centered Care through facilitation of patient engagement actions.
Considers the patient's values, preferences, cultural diversity, expressed needs, and knowledge in all aspects of care.
Establishes and maintains a therapeutic relationship with patients and their families.
Uses evidence-based practices to increase understanding of patients' perceptions of care.
Initiates service recovery for patients and family members who have concerns.
Demonstrates caring, respect, compassion, empathy, and active listening through dialogue and actions.
Conducts Purposeful Hourly Rounding on assigned patients addressing key patient needs.
Practices safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying and escalating barriers and opportunities for improvement.
Demonstrates clinical skills and knowledge crucial to quality and safety in the patient population served.
Implements process improvement strategies based on evidence-based practices.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement quality improvement projects.
Contributes to quality and safety practices and required compliance measures.
Implements principles of high reliability to identify and avoid high-risk behaviors for patient safety.
Escalates potential safety hazards or gaps from best practices following the appropriate chain of command protocol.
Documents nursing practice in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards of care.
Contributes to a supportive environment of care for clinical colleagues, patients, and families.
Advances clinical competence in nursing practice to progress from novice to expert.
Projects a professional image and communicates in a caring and respectful manner.
Incorporates ethical principles into decision-making for patients and families.
Encourages a spirit of scholarship, inquiry, and lifelong learning for self and others.
Participates in shared decision-making through nursing department committees and unit initiatives.
