Job description

Are you a skilled Thoracic Surgeon seeking a locum tenens opportunity in a serene location in Ohio? A healthcare facility near Lucas, Ohio, is seeking coverage for the end of December. This position offers a chance to provide vital care in a supportive and well-equipped environment.

Position Details :

Start Date : December 20, 2024
End Date : December 30, 2024
Coverage Type : Call only (24-hour call coverage)
Practice Setting : Inpatient
Bed Count in Department : 6
Call Details :

Response time required : 30 minutes

Call ratio : 1 : 3

Call back rate : Less than 5%

Admissions : 1-3 patients per shift

Key Requirements :

Board Certification : Must be Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery

Fellowship : Required

Licensure : Active Ohio license

Certifications Needed :

ACLS

ATLS

ABLS

BLS

PALS

Specialty Skills Needed :

Thoracic Surgery :

Coronary artery bypass surgery (on and off pump)

Valvular repair and replacement

Aneurysm repair

Lung resection (including VATs)

Esophageal and diaphragmatic surgeries

Vent management and bronchoscopy

Vascular Skills :

General vascular surgery (open and endovascular)

Aneurysm repair

Carotid endarterectomy

Additional Information :

EMR System : Epic

Trauma Level : Level III

Pediatric Level : Level II

Support Staff : 1 PA / NP, 12 office staff
