Biomedical Equipment Technician II (BMET II)

Seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician II (BMET II) with minimum 2-5 years experience in the repair and preventive maintenance of medical equipment. (compensation depends on experience level)

MUST HAVE 2 to 5 years of experience as BMET. Must have valid US driver's license and able to work in the US without Visa sponsorship. (compensation depends on experience level)

Job Summary

Provide maintenance services of biomedical equipment in hospital environment.

Maintain equipment by performing necessary repair, periodic maintenance and operational verification procedures. P erforms skilled, technical and advisory work in the repair, maintenance and calibration of general and / or complex medical equipment. Performs quality assurance testing and calibration. This position is expected to have the ability to multi-task several projects.

• Analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs medical equipment and systems utilizing established electronic tests and measurement equipment and techniques.
• Performs scheduled maintenance, calibrations and / or modifications on medical equipment and systems, in accordance with department procedures, manufacturers' recommendations, specifications and / or other applicable codes and standards.
• Trains medical and clinical staff on the safe and proper use of medical equipment and systems. Interacts with clinical staff on a regular basis to insure needs are being met.
• Must be familiar with medical equipment technology, and networking technology.
• Documents and maintains accurate records of all inspections, repairs, adjustments, etc. performed on all equipment.
• May install or assist in the installation of new medical equipment, modifications.
• Requests and / or orders necessary repair and spare parts according to established procedures and contract relationships.
