Salary : $36.34-$44.14 / hour
The Field Mechanic position is responsible for vehicle / equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs of vehicles and equipment.
Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities
Conducts vehicle / equipment inspections
Conducts preventative maintenance and repair on vehicle / equipment
Identifies, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical, hydraulic and electrical problems
Evaluates equipment failures, determines cause and completes timely and effective repairs
Uses equipment repair manuals and orders parts for repairs
Other tasks assigned as needed
Skills & Requirements
Possesses mechanical / electrical / hydraulic knowledge on various types of construction equipment
Self-motivated, responsible, able to work in all weather conditions
Excellent problem solving and diagnostic ability
Strong communication skills
Moderate computer skills
Must have working knowledge of various equipment diagnostic software
Welding skills a plus
Must be able to stay out of town as required
Safe clean driving record
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of hands-on equipment repair
Dealer or manufacturer training desirable
Must have Class B CDL at minimum
