Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Project Management candidate to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Aircraft Solutions organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL.
Job Description :
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Job responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following :
Basic Qualifications :
Must have a Bachelor's degree and 4 years of related professional / military experience, OR a Master's degree and 2 years of related professional / military experience, OR a high school diploma and 8 years of related professional / military experience. Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled in Continuous Evaluation). Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company. Knowledge of Project Management principles. Experience with Microsoft Office products (i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project). Experience as a Control Account Manager. Experience with Proposal efforts and products (BOEs, BOMs). Experience with Risk, Issue, and Opportunity management. Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
Preferred Qualifications :
Scheduling experience. Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Experience creating and managing Contract Requirements Traceability Matrix. Experience assessing complex problems and developing a plan of action while coordinating across a large, diverse team of program, business, and technical SMEs. IT exposure & experience.
Primary Level Salary Range : $78,700.00 - $118,100.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
