River Market Community Co-op is hiring a Full Time Grocery Clerk!

Experience-based pay ranging from : $16.90 - $18.15 per hour

Must have availability to work weekends. Candidates without availability to work weekends will not be considered.

Union position

Reports to : Center Store Manager

Perform established opening and closing procedures according to timeline determined by department manager

Receive shipments

Sort and stock merchandise

Ensure items returned, damaged, or dated are accurately recorded and properly disposed of

Assist customers with placing and picking up of special orders and provide price checks as requested

Follow all directions accurately and in accordance with established production guidelines

Requirements

Excellent communication skills

Able to perform basic arithmetic including counting, addition, and subtraction

Able to repetitively lift and carry 25 lbs, and occasionally 50 lbs

Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation

Able to remain on feet for long periods of time

Able to spend time working in refrigerated spaces

Able to work including weekends and evenings

Essential Physical Functions : Must be physically able to occasionally grasp, grip, pull, push, twist, and turn as needed.

Constant (67-100%) : Walking, standing, lifting / carrying up to 25 pounds floor to waist, talking, hearing, correctable vision including near acuity and depth perception

Frequent (34-66%) : Bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, lifting / reaching waist to shoulder, lifting / reaching above the shoulder

Occasional (1-33%) : Working in refrigeration, pushing, pulling, lifting / carrying up to 50 pounds floor to waist, lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance floor to waist
