Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated mechanical assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will work in various departments, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to grow. This role involves assembling hatches and panels using hand and power tools, preparing panels for painting, and packaging completed assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Assemble hatches and panels using hand and power tools, including drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, torques, and tape measures.
• Work from blueprints to ensure accurate assembly.
• Prepare panels for painting by installing insulation and hanging panels on hooks.
• Package completed assemblies and fulfill orders.
• Cross-train in various departments to provide support as needed.

Work Environment

This role operates on a second shift from Monday to Thursday, 2 : 30 PM to 12 : 00 AM, and Friday, 12 : 00 PM to 4 : 00 PM. Mandatory overtime may occur on Fridays from 2 : 30 PM to 12 : 00 AM, with occasional Saturday shifts possible. The work environment is a metal manufacturing setting, similar to an auto body shop. Employees must wear pants (no sweats or athletic wear), short-sleeve shirts or longer, and steel-toed boots. This is a non-union shop.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50 / hr.
