What’s in it for you?

Ready to make a serious impact? Millions of people already rely on Calendly, and we’re still in the midst of exciting product growth — it’s a fantastic time to join us. Everything you’ll work on here will accelerate your career to the next level. If you want to learn, grow, and do the best work of your life alongside the best people you’ve ever worked with, then we hope you’ll consider allowing Calendly to be a part of your professional journey.

About the team & opportunity

Calendly is one of the most loved scheduling platforms in the world — and our opportunity for product-led growth is still massive. Calendly’s ecosystem charter encompasses the developer APIs, integrations, workflow automations and strategic partnerships that connect our products to the broader tools users rely on. Our platform and services play a pivotal role in driving adoption and integration, enabling agentic interactions, and powering key user interactions in the Calendly product. We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who will bring curiosity, product thinking, strong execution focus and a desire to uplevel the people around them to our team.

What’s so great about working on Calendly’s Engineering team?

We make things possible for our customers through innovation, and we have fun while doing it.

Why do we need you?

In this role, you’ll bring deep expertise in building and scaling services at scale in the cloud. You have experience working in a team environment partnering across engineering, product & design, you are highly collaborative and embrace a learning mindset and can-do attitude. You are also not afraid to dive deep into existing code, refactor if necessary and solve customer problems. You’ll ensure high standards of ownership, execution and quality.

In this role, you will report to the Senior Engineering Manager for the Ecosystems team.

A day in the life of a Full Stack Engineer at Calendly

As an engineer at Calendly, you will both build new features and work to scale our platform and architecture. You will learn to work with multiple technologies and platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Typescript, Rails, NodeJS, React, PostgreSQL, Redis, DataDog, Cursor to name a few. You will build tooling and automation to fine tune our delivery process as you grow into a service oriented specialist.

When you join Calendly, you get the opportunity to deliver on a product used by millions and known for its best-in-class quality. Help us continue to deliver critical features to our users with excellence.

On a typical day, you will be working to :

  • Build composable services with TypeScript (Node), Ruby (Rails), Go, and / or Python
  • Collaborate within your team to plan and build new features
  • Review Implementation Plans (IP) and pull requests (PR) of your teammates, and incorporate their feedback on your own IPs and PRs
  • Contribute to platform scaling initiatives and drive a microservices style architecture
  • Develop RESTful and event-driven APIs for both internal and external use
  • Partner regularly with engineers, product managers, and designers to write implementation plans and execute on requirements
  • Attend agile ceremonies to help your team plan out their work and get it done
  • Work across squads to improve Engineering practices at Calendly
  • Use advanced AI tools, including Cursor, to analyze and navigate the codebase, generate code, and automate repetitive tasks
  • Participate in on-call rotation and solve customer issues

What do we need from you?

  • 4+ years of Software Development experience at a SaaS or technology company
  • A track record of rapidly learning new languages and technologies to get the job done; your secret weapon is adaptability
  • Experience as a technical leader or SME in a functional area on a current or previous team
  • Well practiced in retrospectives, reflection, owning responsibility, and communicating with kindness
  • A track record of rapidly learning new languages and technologies to get the job done; skilled at adapting to new paradigms
  • You've built modular, composable service architectures using Node, Go, or Python and a variety of back-end data stores
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) (microservices); previous experience migrating from Monolith to micro services architecture is nice to have
  • Excited to craft simple software solutions to sophisticated problems
  • Strive to craft clean, reliable and highly maintainable code
  • Collaborating with your peers in a small engineering team, biased in favor of results over process
  • Availability for participation in an on-call rotation, ensuring timely and effective responses to critical production issues outside of regular working hours
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time
  • Tier 1 Salary Hiring Range

    $187,680 - $237,360 USD

    Tier 2 Salary Hiring Range

    $172,040 - $217,580 USD

    $156,400 - $197,800 USD

The ranges listed above are the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.

Calendly takes a number of factors into consideration when determining an employee’s starting salary, including relevant experience, relevant skills sets, interview performance, location / metropolitan area, and internal pay equity.

Base salary is just one component of Calendly’s total rewards package. All full-time (30 hours / week) employees are also eligible for our Top Performer Bonus program (or Sales incentive), equity awards, and competitive benefits.

  • If you are an individual with a disability and would like to request a reasonable accommodation as part of the application or recruiting process, please let your Recruiter know when first connecting with them. Calendly is registered as an employer in many, but not all, states. If you are located in Alabama, Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and West Virginia, you will not be eligible for employment.
