Monitor fetal heart tones, maternal vital signs, and labor progress. Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and emergency interventions. Administer medications and manage epidurals or Pitocin per physician orders. Collaborate with OB / GYNs, anesthesiologists, and neonatal teams. Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care. Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols. Requirements of the Travel Nurse Active California RN license. Current BLS certification required. Fetal Monitoring Certification (AWHONN) preferred. Minimum of 4 years' recent Labor & Delivery experience.
