Adelphi is seeking highly qualified and licensed Occupational Therapists (OTs) to provide school-based therapy services to students across various school districts in Texas. The ideal candidate will support students with physical, sensory, and cognitive challenges that impact their educational access and participation. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and delivering direct and consultative services in compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Requirements :

  • Master’s Degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Texas license as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in school or pediatric settings.
  • Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and school-based documentation standards.
  • Familiarity with assistive technology, sensory integration, fine motor skill development, and adaptive equipment.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Conduct functional and educationally relevant occupational therapy evaluations as part of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop goals and service plans based on evaluation results and team recommendations.
  • Deliver direct, indirect, and consultative OT services to students with disabilities in accordance with IEPs..
  • Address fine motor, visual motor, self-care, sensory processing, and organizational skills impacting school performance.
  • Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and complete required reports within mandated timelines.
  • Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and contribute to IEP development and implementation.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure carryover of therapy goals in the classroom and home settings.
  • Recommend and assist with the selection and use of adaptive tools, classroom modifications, and assistive devices.
  • Provide training to school staff and families on OT-related strategies and interventions.
  • Remain current with best practices and legal requirements through professional development.
