Traveling Superintendent Bridge & Rail Projects
We are seeking a highly skilled Traveling Superintendent with strong experience in heavy civil constructionspecifically bridge and / or rail projects. This role is responsible for overseeing field operations, maintaining project safety and quality standards, and ensuring work is completed on schedule. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of construction supervisory experience and thrives in a fast-paced, travel-based environment.
Key responsibilities include :
- Lead and supervise daily construction activities on bridge and rail project sites.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental requirements, and company standards.
- Monitor project progress, resolve field issues, and assist in schedule planning and updates.
- Ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
- Conduct daily reports, document work activities, and communicate site conditions to leadership.
- Manage equipment, materials, and labor resources on-site.
- Represent the company professionally while traveling to various project locations.
Qualifications include :
Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on bridge or rail projects.Strong understanding of DOT standards, structural concrete, steel erection, rail work, or similar civil scopes.Proven ability to lead field crews and manage complex, multi-phase construction operations.Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.Ability and willingness to travel frequently and work on long-term out-of-town assignments.Valid driver's license required.Compensation and benefits include :
