MRI Technologist II -Montclair Radiology- Part time 20 hrs week, Days / Evenings / Weekends

Also provides the patient care essential to these procedures. Applies principles of MR safety. Join us and discover why Modern Healthcare Magazine named us in its “Top 100 Places to Work.” Overview : The MRI Staff Technologist works under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor and / or Director, and operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies Selects appropriate imaging techniques and operates console and peripheral hardware; enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to PACS. Qualifications : Experience : 1 years of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelor degree program Required Education : High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or MRI Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours. Certifications : : ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT 1 Advanced registry (MRI)- working in the area. BLS Basic Life Support Other : IV Insertion

• Technical skill in medical scanning, understanding of cross sectional anatomy, and 3-D knowledge. Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements :
• Manipulating equipment, lifting, moving, and transporting patients.
• Continual standing or walkng.
