Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interim Long Term Care Director (RN) with a CO or compact license and a minimum of 5 years of LTC experience.

Responsibilities

  • Interim position as Long Term Care Director in a skilled nursing facility
  • Day shift schedule
  • Assignment duration is 26 weeks
  • Patient population is primarily long term care residents
  • No local candidates accepted; must reside at least 65 miles from the facility
  • Responsible for planning, directing, implementing, and evaluating resident care in the Long Term Care unit
  • Assures compliance with all mandatory regulations and requirements
  • Provides and coordinates staff education and in-services
  • Prepares annual facility goals, objectives, and budget
  • Leads quality improvement initiatives and prepares for annual State Nursing Home Survey
  • Requires strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Professional and well-groomed appearance expected at all times
  • Demonstrates commitment to a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace
  • Requirements

  • Active, unencumbered CO or compact RN license
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school required; Master's degree preferred
  • At least 5 years of previous long term care nursing experience required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Current ACLS certification required
  • Experience in a supervisory or director role preferred
  • Train the Trainer certification for CNA instruction required within six months of hire or transfer
  • Wound Care certification preferred
