We’re a growing Fishing Tackle business looking for an experienced Key Carrier to add to our Fairfield Team.

The Company : Fisherman's Warehouse Megastore is known across the bay area, northern and central California, making us one of the largest and popular fishing tackle retail stores in the area.

The Position : We’re looking for an experienced retail store Key Carrier to join our team! Pay starting at $18.00-19.00 / hr.

Job Description : the Key Carrier is responsible for facilitating and supervising daily operations at the store to make sure that employees work together effectively to make sales and contribute to shop upkeep. The Key Carrier will be responsible for opening and closing the store, managing staff breaks, balancing and closing registers, handling customer issues when the store managers are not present. Other Key Carrier duties include communicating with our warehouse about inventory and keeping the store stocked, ensuring employees are following schedules created by the store manager, and ensuring the store is operational when the store managers are not present. It is also expected that the Key Carrier have adequate physical strength to successfully unload shipments and restock the store.

Fishermans Warehouse Fairfield is Open 7 days a week - shifts are from 9 : 30am-6 : 00pm Monday-Saturday and 9 : 30-4 : 00pm on Sunday. Must be able to work any shifts Monday-Sunday. Weekends are required.

Duties :

• Able to open and close store based on all manager policies and procedures.
• Must be able to resolve conflict with employees and customers alike.
• Provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and help. Provide the customers with the information they need to make an informed decision and feel good about the products they purchase.
• Be knowledgeable and seek education on all products Fisherman’s Warehouse caries.
• Be courteous and positive to all customers by greeting them and ensuring they have a positive shopping experience.
• Help promote and educate customers in shop and on various online platforms.
• Able to learn and work machinery in the reel department to spool and de-spool line.
• Able to fully operate point of sale and conduct all levels of business within that program such as returns, discounts, looking items up, overrides, etc.
• Basic computer knowledge to conduct various tasks based on business needs.
• Maintain a clean, and operational shop by following all safety policies and standards.
• Able to lift packages up to 50lbs
• Able to assist on all other business needs such as but not limited to (ordering, inventory, cleaning, loading, answering phones, etc.)
• MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS!!
• Will be responsible to balance, open registers and processing Daily Balance Sheets when Store Managers are not present- which is roughly twice per 7 day work week.
• Pay Scale : $18-19 / per hour- FULL TIME ONLY

Required Skills -Retail Experience -Self-motivated -Strong leadership skills -Strong sales abilities -Great communication skills, must communicate with Headquarters on staffing issues, questions and general day to day activities at the store. -Ability to operate basic business software programs -Must be able to perform basic math skills like counting money.

Full time position Pay Scale $18-19 / hour.
