e&e is seeking a Project Manager for a remote contract opportunity in Philadelphia, PA!
The Project Manager is responsible for leading complex IT initiatives with a strong focus on infrastructure, new facility build-outs, and EPIC-related projects. This role oversees the full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with established project management methodologies, standards, and organizational objectives. The Project Manager will guide cross-functional teams, manage project risks and timelines, support operational readiness, and contribute to continuous improvement within the PMO. This senior-level position manages large, multifaceted projects and acts as a mentor to junior project managers while serving as a trusted partner to stakeholders across the organization.
Responsibilities :
- Lead, coordinate, and manage advanced IT projects, including enterprise infrastructure initiatives, facility expansions, and EPIC system implementations or upgrades.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, risks, and communication strategies.
- Facilitate effective communication across project teams, stakeholders, leadership, and operational partners.
- Ensure adherence to established project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Manage cross-functional project teams of 815 members, providing direction, removing obstacles, and ensuring timely deliverables.
- Conduct project risk assessments and implement mitigation plans to ensure successful outcomes.
- Prepare and deliver detailed project documentation, status reports, executive summaries, and readiness assessments.
- Mentor and support new or junior project managers, assisting in the development of PMO standards and practices.
- Act as a PMO champion by promoting consistency, quality, and continuous improvement in project management processes.
- Support leadership initiatives and contribute to organizational project management maturity.
Requirements : Education
Required : Bachelors degree.Preferred : Masters degree.Certifications
Required : Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI.Required Skills & Experience
Eight (8) years of progressively responsible IT project management experience.Proven success managing large, complex IT projects, particularly in infrastructure, facility readiness, and EPIC implementations.Strong understanding of IT operations and technical environments.Demonstrated ability to produce clear, detailed project documentation for complex initiatives.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to leadership and build consensus among stakeholders.Experience coaching or mentoring project team members and contributing to PMO development.Ability to serve as a trusted partner to sponsors, technical teams, and business stakeholders.Preferred Skills & Experience
Prior experience in healthcare IT environments or hospital operations.Experience supporting new facility technology buildouts or large-scale systems integration projects.
