Job Summary :
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for providing respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients in various settings, including the NICU, PICU, Pediatric ED, and Peds Floor. The RRT will manage ventilators, administer medications, perform airway management, and collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. NICU & PICU experience is essential for this role.

Responsibilities :
- Manage and troubleshoot ventilators (Servo-I, Servo-N, HOFV-3100 A & B, Synclara, Volera, Hamilton T1).
- Administer respiratory medications (Albuterol, Atrovent, Flovent, Nitric Oxide (INo), Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Terbutaline Sulfate, Tobramycin, Xopenex).
- Perform airway management procedures including endotracheal tube / tracheostomy suctioning, intubation assist, extubation.
- Provide oxygen therapy via various devices (Bag & Mask, ET Tube, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Portable Oxygen tank, T-piece & Trach Collar).
- Monitor and interpret ABG results.
- Perform chest physiotherapy.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately in EPIC.
- Float throughout PEDS units and floors as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications :
Minimum 5 years of experienceRRT certificationBLS, NRP, and PALS certificationsActive NC State LicenseExperience with Servo-I, Servo-N, HOFV-3100 A & B, Alaris IV pumps, Airvo heated HFNC, BCPAP with multiple interfaces, Aerogen versus Hope neb versus EZflow Max neb, Hamilton T1.Experience with Synclara, Volera, Beyond Air nitric system, Fisher Paykel Flexitrunk BCPAP interface, Metaneb, Smart Vest, Heliox use, AMBU bronchsCompetency in PICUEPIC Experience requiredPreferred Skills & Certifications :
