Python Developer

Seeking senior Python, SQL developer with Fixed Income and front office experience for a major financial firm. Hybrid environment. 3 days / week in Newark, NJ required.

The Front Office technology team is a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with exciting changes on the horizon under new senior leadership. We are looking for a senior software engineer to help us build our next generation of portfolio management and trading systems.

What You Will Do : Design and implement investment decision supporting services across all fixed income domains.Maintain and enhance existing portfolio management applications in Java and PythonWork closely with our quantitative solutions and other front office investment teams.Build and maintain application services that are critical to our front office systems.

Skills You Will Need : 6+ years of experience in developing front office and related in Python and SQL.Solid fixed income knowledgeProactive and ownership mentalityStrong analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast moving and dynamic environmentExtensive knowledge and experience with SDLC tools such as Git, Jira, Docker, Jenkins etc.

The Ideal Candidate will also have : Azure or AWS experience.Java or C++ development experience.Financial market data such as datasets from Bloomberg, S&P, Moody's, ICE etcInvestment universe customization and back testingDirect experience in supporting front office end-users (PM, Quant).
