Job Description

Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to provide one-on-one support in an elementary school setting. This contract role spans the 2025-2026 school year and requires a professional with strong interpreting skills to facilitate munication for students and staff.

Key Qualifications :

  • Minimum EIPA score of 3.2 or higher
  • Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in educational settings
  • Ability to work one-on-one with students requiring sign language support
  • Strong understanding of elementary school environments and the needs of young learners
  • Excellent munication and interpersonal skills

Location :

  • Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

    • Responsibilities :

  • Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa in real-time during classroom and related school activities
  • Support students' munication needs to ensure full participation in academic and social settings
  • Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to provide seamless munication access
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as required
