General Laborer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Amrize, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a General Laborer to support operations at the Asphalt Plant located in Waldorf, MD. This position is primarily responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support quarry operations, including cleanup, equipment maintenance, and assisting with material handling. To help ensure safe, efficient production by following safety procedures and supporting equipment operators and plant personnel as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Site Cleanup : Maintain a clean and safe work environment by shoveling, sweeping, and removing debris around plant and quarry areas.
• Material Handling : Assist with moving, loading, and unloading raw materials and finished products as directed.
• Equipment Support : Help operators with basic maintenance, lubrication, and inspection of quarry equipment.
• Safety Compliance : Follow all company and MSHA safety rules, wear required PPE, and report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Plant Assistance : Support plant operations by monitoring conveyors, chutes, and screens to ensure smooth material flow.
• Manual Labor Tasks : Perform physical work such as lifting, digging, and using hand or power tools as needed.
• Team Collaboration : Work closely with supervisors and equipment operators to complete daily production and maintenance tasks efficiently.
