Position Overview

The Vail Police Department is now accepting applications for a Future Police Academy Sponsorship. This unique opportunity is perfect for individuals passionate about joining a progressive, community-focused police department in one of the world's premier resort destinations.

Selected candidates will attend the 612-hour Police Academy at Colorado Mountain College's Spring Valley Campus in Glenwood Springs, fully sponsored by the Town of Vail. You'll receive $38.75 per hour during the academy and, upon successful completion, POST certification, and departmental vacancy, you'll have the opportunity to join the Vail Police Department as a full-time officer.
