Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Position Overview

Prisma Health Baptist Easley Hospital is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide locum tenens coverage for general anesthesia services in a collaborative, community-based environment. This position offers a strong work-life balance with four 10-hour day shifts per week and home call once per week

This role is compensated at a top-of-market, all-inclusive hourly rate , covering all pay, travel, lodging, and malpractice expenses within a single rate.

Assignment Highlights

Location : Easley, South Carolina

Schedule :

4 10-hour shifts per week (7 : 00 a.m. - 5 : 00 p.m.)

Home call once per week

No weekends or in-house call

Setting : Acute care hospital with 6 operating rooms

Case Mix : Bread-and-butter cases (no hearts, no heads)

Support Staff : 1 Anesthesia Tech and supervising anesthesiologist

Patient Volume : 200 cases per week (department total)

Patient Age Range : 15-100 years

EMR : Epic

Orientation : 16 hours, non-billable

Job Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia services for general surgical and procedural cases.

Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and manage anesthetic plans.

Monitor and manage patients throughout surgery and recovery.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols and documentation requirements in Epic

Respond to emergencies during home call as required.

Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and perioperative staff to optimize outcomes.

Skills & Experience

NBCRNA Certified

Active South Carolina RN and APRN licenses

Active DEA and South Carolina CSR

BLS and ACLS certifications

Minimum 1 year of anesthesia experience required

Proficient in Epic EMR

Fully vaccinated per facility policy (medical / religious exemptions accepted)
