Job description6+ years of defense litigation experience, preferably in Medical Malpractice and / or General Liability. J.D. from an accredited law school. Active and good standing NJ bar license required. PA license a plus. Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills. Expertise in defense litigation. Experience reviewing complex medical records, expert testimony, and scientific evidence. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously. Prior experience representing hospitals, physicians, insurance companies, or healthcare systems, preferred.

Mid-sized law firm is seeking a Medical Malpractice Attorney in Bedminster, NJ. This is a hybrid opportunity. The ideal candidate will have extensive courtroom experience, proven expertise in managing high-stakes litigation, and the ability to provide strategic counsel to a diverse clientele. Great opportunity for an Attorney who wants to be in court most of the time. Salary range is $130-160k+ DOE.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the defense of complex medical malpractice cases from inception through trial and appeal.
- Conduct case evaluations, develop litigation strategy, and advise clients on risk assessment and potential exposure.
- Draft and argue dispositive motions, prepare trial briefs, oversee discovery, including expert witness preparation.
- Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, depositions, hearings and trials.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Stay current on changes in healthcare law.
- Ability to travel for court, client meetings, etc.
- Provide support and mentorship to junior associates.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule from the Bedminster, NJ office.
