Assistant Director of Nursing

Assist the Director of Nursing Services in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility in order to provide the highest quality of care to the residents.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Function as Staff Educator : Ensure all staff meets all required in-service education and documentation requirements

Staff Development

Participates the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Programs in the facility

Leads the orientation program in the facility

Involve in the Compliance Committee

Acts as a Director of Nursing in her behalf during her absence

Directs and supervises staff to ensure quality care is administered

Qualifications :

• Must have a current and valid RN License issued by the State of New Jersey
• Must have a current and valid CPR / BLS Certification issued by American Heart Association
• Must have at least 2 years of experience as a supervisor in a long-term care facility or hospital
• Bachelor of Nursing is preferred
• IV Certification is preferred
