Senior Paving Construction Inspector

From the 100-mile Maine Turnpike corridor to every major interstate highway and many state routes in northern New England, our local construction management division and inspection team has overseen and inspected thousands of highway paving miles, over the past twenty-five years. WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Paving Construction Inspector to help oversee multiple types of urban and rural pavement rehabilitation or preservation projects with construction values ranging from $1-$25 million. This position can be based out of Portland, Augusta or Eliot, ME, Merrimack, NH or Waterbury, VT. The inspector will oversee various work elements including asphalt shimming, milling, reclaiming, filling, compacting, drainage improvements, striping and other incidental items. The inspector will report to the Resident Engineer, and may routinely, or periodically act as their representative, depending on experience.

Your Impact :

• Interfacing with contractors and attending meetings.
• Mentoring or supervising other inspectors, on behalf of resident engineer, or project manager.
• Complete daily reports, measure and calculate unit price quantities.
• Coordinate independent material sampling and testing.
• Monitor maintenance of traffic.
• Take and compile photographs, for tracking of daily progress.
