Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Falmouth, MA 02540 (Cape Cod, Massachusetts nursing jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Setting : Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) – clinical support role

Start Date : December 29, 2025

End Date : March 28, 2026

Duration : 13-week travel nurse contract

Hours : 40 hours per week, rotating day shifts (7a-3p, 9a-5p, 10a-6p, 11a-7p), with occasional rotation to 12p-8p & 2p-10p as needed

Guaranteed Hours : 40 per week

Schedule : Occasional weekends and holidays required

On-call : Required for off-shift, weekends, and holidays

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2450–$2620 per week

PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts

Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)

Successful completion of Pharmacology and Basic Arrhythmia exams

Proficient in IV starts, hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator care

Minimum 1 year of recent experience (within 5 years) in ICU, CVICU, CVPA, ER, SDC, or PACU nursing jobs

Prior SDC or PACU experience preferred (within last 5 years)

Skilled in Computerized Nursing Informatics

Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)

BSN preferred

PACU RN Responsibilities

Provide post-anesthesia patient care using the nursing process : assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation

Administer and monitor patient responses to medications and anesthesia recovery

Direct and guide patient care, teaching, and activities of clinical support staff

Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and documentation

Document comprehensive assessments throughout hospital admission, including physical, psychological, social, and discharge planning

Serve as a resource for patient care, orientation, and staff education

Participate in staff meetings, mandatory programs, and ongoing professional development

Follow all safety and infection control policies and procedures

Represent the hospital positively within the Falmouth community and maintain patient confidentiality

Deliver service excellence to patients, families, visitors, and healthcare team members

Perform additional duties as assigned by nursing supervisor
